Activities
The tour begins in the tranquil surroundings of Witagron with refreshing dips in the rapids at the Raleigh Falls, surrounded by lush natural scenery. This is followed by an eight-hour trek through the tropical rainforest led by experienced guides, during which you’ll climb Voltzberg and have the chance to spot wildlife. The trip culminates in a breathtaking trail to the Moeder Falls, where you’ll witness the power of the Coppename River’s largest rapids. You’ll then return to Paramaribo, enjoying a tasty lunch along the way.

Program
Day 1
You’ll set off from Paramaribo to the picturesque village of Witagron, where you’ll board traditional korjals, the local boats. From there, you and your group will sail towards the Raleigh Falls. Once you arrive at your accommodation, you can relax amidst the lush natural surroundings, take a refreshing dip in the rapids or simply enjoy the serene setting.
Day 2
The following day, an exciting programme awaits you, culminating in the ascent of the 240-metre-high Voltzberg. Our expert guides will lead you on an 8-hour trek through the lush rainforest and entertain you with informative stories about the diverse flora and fauna. During the climb, you’ll enjoy breathtaking views and may spot various animals. A packed lunch will be provided along the way, after which you’ll round off the day with a refreshing stop at the Anjoemaraval.
Day 3
On day 3, the enchanting jungle trail to the Moedervallen is on the itinerary. A short five-minute canoe ride will take you to this impressive destination, where you’ll find the largest set of rapids on the Coppename River. After this visit, you’ll return to Paramaribo, stopping for lunch on the way.
