Program

Day 1

You’ll begin your journey with an enchanting view of the reservoir from the Mazaroni Plateau in Brownsberg. You’ll then walk through lush forests to the Leo and/or Irene Falls, where you can enjoy the beautiful flora and fauna. You’ll round off the day with a peaceful night’s stay on tranquil Ston Island.

Day 2

Enjoy a morning full of activities such as fishing, canoeing or swimming, after which you’ll set off for Atjoni. There, you’ll board a dugout canoe to sail to the picturesque village of Jaw Jaw. You’ll spend the afternoon relaxing by the stunning rapids near your accommodation.

Day 3

After breakfast, you’ll explore the mysterious rainforest on a fascinating forest walk. You’ll then discover the culture of the Saramacans on a village walk and visit Gunsi and New Aurora/Laduani to gain a deeper insight into the local way of life. You’ll round off the day with a relaxing boat trip to the enchanting Ferulasi rapids.

Day 4

Take a moment to enjoy the enchanting surroundings before returning to Paramaribo, taking with you memories of an unforgettable adventure in the heart of Suriname.
