Program
Day 1
You’ll set off at 7.00 am by coach to Witagron, where you’ll enjoy lunch on arrival. You will then board the boat for the trip to the Raleigh Falls. Once there, you will meet the manager, be allocated your accommodation and go on an exploratory walk around the island. If you wish, you can cool off with a dip in the river.
Day 2
After breakfast, you’ll set off on an intriguing forest walk to the Voltzberg, where you may spot various animals along the way, such as monkeys, birds and wild boar. The highlight of the day is the climb to the 240-metre-high summit, from where you can enjoy a breathtaking view of the tropical rainforest. On the way back to the lodge, you’ll stop at the refreshing Anjoemara waterfalls, where you can rest and cool off.
Day 3
After breakfast, you’ll travel by boat to Lolopasi for a walk through the forest to the impressive Mother Falls. At around 1.00 pm, you’ll enjoy lunch with time to relax. You’ll spend the afternoon birdwatching at the airport and exploring the surrounding area at your leisure. In the evening, you’ll round off the day with a convivial get-together and a cultural show put on by the local Raleighboys.
Day 4
At around 10.00 am, you will set off by boat for Witagron, from where you will return to Paramaribo by bus.
