Overview

Program

Day 1
The adventurous journey starts in Paramaribo. With jeeps and canoes on a trailer we go to the starting point at the Boven Coesewijne river, a trip of about 2.5 hours past Zanderij and towards Coesewijne. On the narrow river we make our way, sometimes getting out of the boat to avoid obstacles and fallen trees - a real adventure! At our late camp you will experience the thrill of the jungle sounds while enjoying a good meal. Here, in the middle of the Coesewijne canoe tour, there is no trace of human presence, only the starry sky and the jungle.
Day 2
The second day continues on the Coesewijne river past Pakoeli, where STINASU used to have its guesthouses. Further through the Coesewijne nature reserve we regularly stop to enjoy the unique environment. This part of the tour is ideal for spotting various birds, such as weaver birds, ospreys and various parrots. We pause for lunch at a secluded spot along the river. Then we sail back to Pakoeli, where a jeep awaits us for the return journey to Paramaribo at the end of the day.
