Program

Day 1
The adventurous journey begins in Paramaribo and takes you on an approximately 2.5-hour trip by jeep and canoe, past Zanderij, to the starting point on the Boven Coesewijne River. On the narrow river, you’ll navigate your way through an authentic jungle adventure, occasionally stepping out of the boat to get round obstacles and fallen trees. On arrival at the camp, you’ll experience the unique atmosphere of the jungle with its characteristic sounds, whilst enjoying a delicious meal under a starry sky with no sign of human presence.
Day 2
On the second day, you’ll continue along the Coesewijne River past Pakoeli, where STINASU used to have its guesthouses. You’ll sail through the Coesewijne Nature Reserve, stopping regularly to enjoy the unique surroundings. This part of the tour is ideal for spotting a variety of birds, such as weaver birds, ospreys and various parrots. You’ll stop for lunch at a secluded spot along the river. You will then sail back to Pakoeli, where a jeep will be waiting to take you back to Paramaribo towards the end of the day.
