The day has arrived for you to set off for our special spot on the Suriname River. In the morning, we’ll be waiting for you at our office in Paramaribo, where you’ll be given a brief introduction whilst enjoying a cup of coffee. You’ll then hop straight into the car and head south towards the interior. After a drive of about an hour and a half, during which you’ll pass the old Suralco bauxite factory and an Indigenous village, you’ll arrive in the village of Powakka.Here, you’ll stop at Mr 'Kleine’s' house, where he’ll enthusiastically tell you all about the Indigenous people of Suriname. On his property, he brews Indigenous specialities, and with his tips and tricks, you’ll get to try your hand at using local produce such as cassava. You’ll sample an Indigenous beer and enjoy freshly baked cassava. You’ll then continue by bus to Seliba.This is where your luxury camping adventure begins. At Seliba, you don’t have to do anything, but there’s plenty to do. Are you a real water lover? Then hop onto one of the SUP boards that are ready and waiting. Do you just want to relax and cool off? Then you can also lounge by the pool.
