Day 1
The day begins at 7.00 am with a coach journey to Witagron. Upon arrival, we’ll take some time for lunch before loading the boats for a boat trip of around three hours to the Raleigh Falls. Once there, you and your group will be welcomed by the manager, who will assign you your accommodation. In the afternoon, you will explore the area around the island and, if you wish, have the opportunity to take a refreshing dip in the river.
Day 2
After breakfast, you’ll walk through the rainforest to the Voltzberg, where you can spot a variety of animals, such as monkeys, birds and wild boar. The highlight of this excursion is the climb to the 240-metre summit, from where you can enjoy a magnificent view of the tropical rainforest. After the walk, you’ll return to the lodge and stop for a refreshing break at the Anjoemara waterfall. The day ends with a cosy get-together after dinner.
Day 3
After breakfast, you’ll travel by boat to Lolopasi, where you’ll take an enchanting forest walk to the impressive Mother Falls. At 1.00 pm, you’ll enjoy a delicious lunch. In the afternoon, you’ll visit the airport, where you’ll have the chance to spot various birds. The rest of the afternoon is free for you to spend as you wish. After dinner, round off the day in style with a cultural show, where the local Raleighboys will entertain you with song and dance.
Day 4
At around 9.00 am, we’ll set off by boat for Witagron and then on to Blanche Marie. During the journey, you’ll have the chance to spot various animals and bird species. On arrival, we’ll explore the area around Blanche Marie, where you can go for a swim and then enjoy your evening meal.
Day 5
After breakfast, you’ll walk towards the Blanche Marie waterfall. Along the way, you’ll discover fascinating facts about the biodiversity of this area as you pass by fast-flowing river rapids. At certain spots, you can enjoy the powerful water beneath or near the waterfalls – a truly unique experience.
Day 6
After breakfast, you’ll start with some sightseeing in Apoera, followed by a fascinating afternoon on the famous "railway from nowhere to nowhere". You will then visit the indigenous villages of Kwamalasemoetoe and Washabo, where, during a village walk, you will discover the rich culture of the Trio and Arawak peoples and have the chance to buy authentic souvenirs. The day ends with a convivial get-together after dinner.
Day 7
After a delicious breakfast, you’ll set off for Paramaribo to begin your journey home.
