Day 1
Our Paramaribo Walking Tour starts at the Torarica hotel and takes you through the UNESCO World Heritage area of Paramaribo, which has been on the list since June 2002. Under the guidance of our experienced guide, you will explore the historic city center and learn the fascinating stories behind monuments such as Fort Zeelandia and Independence Square. During the tour you will visit the Numismatic Museum and admire religious treasures, including the Saints Peter and Paul Cathedral, synagogues and a mosque. The colorful hustle and bustle of the covered central market stimulates your senses with wonderful scents and local specialties. After the tour you have the freedom to shop in the city on your own.
