You’ll set off from the flat bridge and sail past the Goslar, the harbour and the industrial area of Paramaribo. Along the way, you’ll pass the old plantations of Domburg and Laarwijk, where you’ll stop briefly to explore them. After about an hour and a half’s cruise, you’ll reach Jodensavanna. During the trip, you’ll see notable spots such as White Beach and private beaches, as well as the remains of the old bauxite industry. In Jodensavanna, you’ll walk from the almost 200-year-old ceiba tree to the impressive ruins of the synagogue and the Jewish and Creole cemeteries. It’s advisable to wear sturdy shoes for this walk. You will then sail to Overbridge for lunch, where you can also go for a swim.
