You will set off from Paramaribo in the morning, heading for Brownsberg via the Afobakkaweg. During the journey, which takes around two hours and covers some 130 kilometres in a minibus, you will enjoy the vegetation and the picturesque savannah landscape as you pass through authentic villages. The route follows partly tarmac and partly unpaved bauxite tracks. On arrival at the nature park, situated at an altitude of 500 metres south of the town, you’ll take a guided walk to the Leo and Irene Falls. Here you can enjoy a refreshing shower under the natural spring water whilst surrounded by the sounds of nature. Brownsberg Nature Park covers 12,000 hectares with a wide range of biodiversity and is an ideal destination all year round.
