Program
Day 1
The journey begins at 9.00 am from Paramaribo. You’ll travel along the motorway to Paranam for a refreshing stop-off, after which you’ll cross the Carolina Bridge to the charming village of Redi Doti. Here you’ll discover the historic Jewish settlement of Jodensavanne, with the impressive ruins of the oldest synagogue, an enchanting cemetery and a healing spring. Led by your guide, you’ll hear fascinating stories and admire the centuries-old graves. After a pleasant break with snacks and drinks, you’ll continue your journey to Overbridge for a tasty lunch. You’ll then travel on to Ston Island, where you’ll spend the night.
Day 2
Today we’re taking you to Brownsberg, a stunning nature reserve in the heart of Suriname. This reserve, situated within the Central Suriname Nature Reserve, is renowned for its lush rainforests, breathtaking views and rich flora and fauna, making it a popular destination for nature lovers, walkers and adventurers. From the summit of Brownsberg, you can enjoy a spectacular panoramic view of the Brokopondo Reservoir, a vast reservoir that lends the landscape a unique and impressive character.
Day 3
You’ll be woken by the impressive howls of howler monkeys and the cheerful chirping of birdsong, surrounded by breathtaking natural beauty. Between 06.00 and 06.30, you’ll enjoy an enchanting sunrise. After a hearty breakfast, you’ll have time to go fishing, swimming or simply relax. You can also set off on your own adventure in a kayak or canoe on the reservoir. After lunch, you’ll return to Paramaribo, where you’ll arrive at around 6.00 pm.
