Day 1
You depart from Paramaribo at 8:00 am. After arriving on the mountain you will take a walk to the northern viewpoint. You will also undertake an intensive trip to the Leo and Irene falls. You will spend the night at Brownsberg.
Day 2
In the early morning you take a walk and enjoy the sunrise. This is followed by breakfast. After breakfast you will leave for Ston Island. On Ston Island you can take a boat trip on the reservoir where you can possibly catch piranhas. You have the opportunity to swim. Kayaking, swimming, sunbathing and fishing are available upon request. In the evening there is a campfire.
Day 3
After breakfast you take a short walk in the woods and prepare for departure to the Atjonie boat harbor. From Atjonie you transfer to a canoe with an outboard motor for a pleasant boat trip to the village of Jaw Jaw. The boat trip takes about half an hour. After arrival you can spend the rest of the afternoon as you wish. You may choose to relax in the beautiful Jaw Jaw rapids, which flow close to your accommodation. In the evening we will spot caimans.
Day 4
After breakfast you will take a walk through the rainforest, followed by a village walk where you will become acquainted with the culture of the Saramaccan people. They keep the African traditions of fishing, hunting, boat building and natural healing alive in the Surinamese jungle. After lunch you will visit the more distant village of Gunsi, from where you will take a hike to the village of Nieuw Aurora/Laduani. From Laduani you sail to the Ferulasi rapids where you can enjoy yourself. In the late afternoon you will sail back to Jaw Jaw. In the evening you can enjoy a cultural show.
Day 5
After you have enjoyed the beautiful surroundings for a while, the time has come to return to Paramaribo.
