Day 1
In the morning we leave by bus to Alkmaar in Commewijne. From there we sail for about 50 minutes on the Commewijne river to Bakkie (Reynsdorp). In Bakkie we visit a museum and take a walk with a guide who shares fascinating information about the village and the region. Then we go to Alliance for a walk along various buildings. Then we take a boat trip through the narrow Warappa Creek, where we are surrounded by beautiful and varied vegetation and can spot many birds. On the way back, the appearance of the creek changes due to the tide. Before we sail back to Alkmaar towards Paramaribo, we make a short stop in Bakkie to stretch our legs. Lunch and snacks are served in Bakkie or during the boat trip.
