Overview

The Anaula Nature Resort is located on a lush island of approximately 12 hectares at the foot of the Ferulassi Falls. The resort covers approximately 2 hectares of the island, while the remaining 9 hectares form a pristine tropical rainforest. Paths have been laid out to explore the island, allowing you to put together your own forest walk. It takes about 30 minutes to walk around the island. You can stay for 3 days, but there is also an option to make it 4 days after you have sent your booking request.

Activities

The Anaula Nature Resort offers a range of activities for an unforgettable stay. From relaxing in the comfortable lounge to yoga on the special platform, enjoying hammock camps with beautiful views of the river, or adventures such as an exciting caiman trip by canoe. Explore the tropical rainforest during an educational forest walk and meet the hospitable Maroon population during a village walk. Don't miss the cultural dance show with traditional singing and dancing. For the adventurous, there is a full day excursion to the Tapawatra rapids, where you can enjoy a natural bubble bath and possibly meet the granman of Saramaccans (subject to availability and minimum participants).

Day 1
On the first day of your adventure to the Anaula Nature Resort you will embark on a journey to an enchanting island of approximately 12 hectares, located at the foot of the impressive Ferulassi Falls. Traveling from the capital Paramaribo, the island is approximately 170 km away, reached after a drive of approximately 4 hours followed by an hour of sailing. For a faster arrival, there is also the option to reach the Anaula Nature Resort by plane. A domestic flight from Paramaribo to the nearby Ladoani airstrip takes only around 45 minutes, followed by a short 10-minute boat ride to the enchanting resort. With every moment of the journey you will discover more of the natural splendor that awaits you upon arrival at Anaula Nature Resort.
Day 2
During your stay at the Anaula Nature Resort, which is located in the enchanting Upper Suriname region, you will get an insight into the unique culture of the Maroons and the untouched beauty of the Amazon rainforest. The proximity to Maroon villages such as Ladoani, Gunsi, Nieuw Aurora and Jaw Jaw gives you the chance to admire the colorful robes of the women and the vibrant scenes along the waterfront, all against the backdrop of lush rainforest. Proud of their heritage, the Maroons are happy to share their fascinating way of life with you. The resort has electricity from 6:30 PM to 11:00 PM, and guests can charge their devices in their own lodge during that time. In addition, Anaula Nature Resort offers various facilities, including a swimming pool with comfortable sun loungers and sofas, a spacious dining room with a cocktail bar with a wide range of drinks, and a modern conference room with air conditioning and audiovisual equipment for companies and organizations in the interior of Suriname. want to organize meetings and workshops.
