Activities

At 'A Tela' in Jaw Jaw, unforgettable experiences are central. Get to know the rich culture through interactive sessions about customs, history and rituals. Enjoy delicious meals with fresh ingredients from the garden. Explore the village with a fascinating walk past schools, medical posts and other sights. Take a refreshing dip in the rapids, go fishing or take part in various sports activities with the local youth. Meet the friendly locals, help prepare traditional dishes, work the agricultural land and learn the art of Saamaka Alisi. End the day with evening walks in the enchanting forest and take part in local evening activities.

Program

Day 1
You will stay for 3 days surrounded by local life in Jaw Jaw. During this time you will participate in age-old traditions and be involved in various village activities. You explore the beautiful forest, spot caimans and take boat trips over rapids that will stay with you for a long time. This journey focuses on the legacy of escaped slaves, surrounded by an enchanting environment. The daily program depends on the events in the village on that day. You can participate in activities such as harvesting, cooking together, helping with computer lessons and homework for children, fishing for dinner, baking your own bread and other local activities. There is also the possibility of trips to other villages and beautiful rapids.
