Program
Day 1
From Paramaribo you will depart at 09:00 by bus to Santigron, with a short stop in Lelydorp for shopping at the market. Upon arrival in Santigron you will be warmly welcomed with a refreshing drink. Our expert guide will take you on a walk through the village, where you will discover the fascinating history and cultural life of the Maroons. Have a nice chat with the friendly villagers and admire their traditional clothing and handmade crafts. After the tour you will be treated to a delicious Surinamese lunch, followed by a cultural dance performance by the local children. You will also have the chance to buy authentic wood carvings and other local products. An unforgettable experience ends with the return to Paramaribo.
