Onder begeleiding van een gids maak je in een paar dagen kennis met de eeuwenoude tradities van de Trio en Wajana indianen en vaar je naar de granieten rots Poti Hill en de Mabuka stroomversnellingen. Onderweg kijk je uit naar overvliegende ara\u2019s, papegaaien, toekans, rondslingerende apen en otters. Beklim de Poti Hill en geniet van het weidse uitzicht over het regenwoud,badder in het verkoelende water en kom al bungelend in een hangmat tot rust.\n\nJe volgende bestemming in het binnenland van Suriname is een marrondorp aan de voet van de Awarradam-stroomversnelling. Je vliegt vanaf Palumeu naar Kayana en vaart vanaf daar per korjaal naar Awarradam. De komende dagen maak je boswandelingen en boottochten door het oerwoud, laat je je masseren door de stroomversnellingen en luier je in een hangmat met uitzicht op de stroomversnelling. Tijdens je verblijf leer je over de tradities en gebruiken van de Marrons en word je door de lokale bewoning getrakteerd op een Saramakaans dans- en zangoptreden.
