By bus you leave from Paramaribo to Brownsberg. Arriving at Brownsberg at the Mazaroni plateau, you have a beautiful view of the reservoir. This is followed by a walk to the Leo and / or Irenevallen. A walk through the beautiful nature where you will see interesting flora and fauna en route to the wonderfully refreshing waterfalls. In the afternoon we travel to Ston - Island where we will spend the night.
After breakfast we sail a round on the reservoir where we make a short stop at a small waterfall at the foot of the Brownsberg. You can also go fishing, kayaking, swimming and sunbathing. After lunch we leave for Atjoni. From Atjonie you transfer to a canoe with outboard motor for a pleasant boat trip to the village of Jaw Jaw. The cruise takes about half an hour. After arrival you can spend the rest of the afternoon as you wish. You may choose to relax in the beautiful Jaw Jaw rapids that flow near your accommodation.
After breakfast you take a walk in the forest through the rainforest followed by a village walk where you get acquainted with the culture of the Saramaccans who have kept the African traditions of fishing, hunting, boats and natural remedies alive in the Surinamese jungle. After lunch you will visit the more distant village of Gunsi, from where you will make a walking tour to the village of New Aurora / Laduani. From Laduani you will sail to the Ferulasi rapids where you can relax. In the late afternoon you will sail back to Jaw Jaw. In the evening you can enjoy a cultural show.
After you have just been able to enjoy the beautiful surroundings, the time has come to return to Paramaribo.
